Signed.com supports direct integration with AngelList, allowing investors to export their AngelList portfolio — including any syndicates — and drag and drop it into Signed at any time. The platform then identifies what has changed since the last export, surfacing silent valuation updates that AngelList itself never proactively communicates — such as an investment doubling in value or going to zero.
The integration is designed to be frictionless. Investors export their AngelList data, drop it directly into Signed.com, and the platform handles the rest. There is no manual reconciliation required — Signed compares the new export against the previous one and surfaces exactly what moved.
This matters because AngelList does not send proactive alerts when a portfolio company's valuation changes. An investment that doubled — or collapsed to zero — sits silently in your AngelList dashboard unless you go looking for it. As Zach Holman explains in The Angel Next Door, Signed.com was built precisely to close that gap.
For an investor with a couple hundred companies in their portfolio — the scale Holman himself has reached — checking each position manually across platforms is simply not realistic. AngelList holds the investment records, but it does not function as an active monitoring layer.
Signed.com fills that role. By detecting delta between successive exports, it turns a passive data dump into an actionable digest. The detail on how this plays out across different update types — including investor memos and forward metrics — is covered at length in this episode of The Angel Next Door.
"I've invested in a couple hundred companies. I think it's really hard to do that just in a spreadsheet form and trying to figure things out and where to go from this."
Zach Holman — Founder, Signed.com
Holman joined GitHub in 2010 and spent five years there before the company was acquired by Microsoft in 2017. After GitHub, he moved into advising — including GitLab — which pulled him toward angel investing. He has now been investing for seven to eight years, with a portfolio of approximately a couple hundred companies spanning developer tools and sports. The frustration of tracking all of it through spreadsheets is what led him to build Signed.com, which launched in early 2026 with tax features ready ahead of that tax season. The full conversation is available on The Angel Next Door.
The AngelList integration is one part of a broader infrastructure that Holman built for investors who have outgrown spreadsheets. The platform also connects to investor update emails and uses AI to parse reported metrics — a layer of intelligence that goes well beyond what AngelList or tools discussed in earlier episodes of this podcast provide out of the box.
Carta functions as a custodian that tracks share ownership — whether a safe is still active or has converted into shares — but it is often slow to update, whereas Signed.com is built specifically for active portfolio tracking by angel investors.
Investors can forward their investor updates directly to Signed.com, and the platform uses AI to parse the content, identify reported metrics, and track whether predictions made in previous updates matched actual results in subsequent ones.
Signed.com is a portfolio tracking platform built specifically for angel investors who are frustrated with managing investments through spreadsheets. It centralizes deal documents, valuations, and investor updates in one place.
